Rick Gremillion

Executive Vice President

Mr. Rick Gremillion has over 20 years of leadership experience in providing high value information technology solutions for commercial and government clients, as well as providing day-to-day business operations and strategy oversight.

After graduating cum laude with a bachelor's degree in computer science from Southeastern Louisiana University in 1987, Rick began work as a software engineering consultant and manager. His clients ranged from nuclear power plants, to leading the development and worldwide deployment of FASTDATA, a financial package for the U.S. Navy that was deployed worldwide to over 1000 sites and is still in use today as the front-end data collector of critical financial and supply data. Additionally, Mr. Gremillion worked on top-secret undersea surveillance software programs to monitor submarine and acoustic data, as well as numerous asset management and logistics projects. Rick has received numerous accolades during his career, including Employee of the Year honors, numerous letters of commendation, and prestigious Plank awards from the U.S. Navy.

In 1994, he became a partner and Executive Vice President at Diamond Data Systems. Rick's duties included overseeing all day-to-day operations. In his role, he has helped the company grow extensively each year and has developed a culture of highly organized, dedicated personnel that understand the importance of cost-effective, customer service driven operations. In 2006, Mr. Gremillion was promoted to President of the company after guiding the company though the short-term survival and long-term rebuilding in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Under his leadership, Diamond Data Systems has been recognized with the following awards:

  • PC Magazine 2006 Innovative Technology Business of the Year
  • Awarded the Company/Entrepreneur of the Year by the Regional Chamber of Commerce
  • Selected for the Innovator of the Year in 2007.
  • Recipient of the e-Ward in 2007 by the Louisiana Technology Council
  • Selected as one of the Best Places to Work in the southeast Louisiana four of the past five years.

Throughout his career, Mr. Gremillion has assisted corporate and government agencies by working with their C-level executives in defining strategies and plans for the effective use of technology to solve real world problems. Mr. Gremillion's combination of people skills, technology background, business understanding, and political insight have helped customers navigate the delicate challenges that face executives trying to execute their missions in a complex environment. Mr. Gremillion is also involved in various aspects of the community and is active in the following organizations:

  • Serves on the Board of Directors for the Louisiana Technology Council
  • Serves on the Board of Directors for the Information Systems Technology Resource Center (ISTRC)
  • Serves on the Board of Directors of the Greater New Orleans Inc. IT Cluster for Economic Development
  • Member of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA)
  • Member of the Navy League
