GEOCENT AWARDED “GROWTH COMPANY OF THE YEAR” BY THE LOUISIANA TECHNOLOGY COUNCIL

Company acknowledged as a driving force for economic development in Louisiana

NEW ORLEANS -- November 23, 2009 – Geocent, a leading provider of Information Technology, systems engineering, software and technical support services to the military, federal government and numerous commercial sectors, was honored as the 2009 “Growth Company of the Year” by the Louisiana Technology Council at its annual eWARDS event at the Windsor Court Hotel in New Orleans on October 29th.

The Louisiana Technology Council (LTC) is a member-based organization dedicated to advancing economic and social development through technology.

The LTC bestowed this honor upon Geocent because the company’s growth has been driven by its innovative solutions for clients, and also by what is often recognized as its collaborative and collegial culture.

Working with clients that include the US Navy, NASA, and other major federal agencies and commercial enterprises, Geocent often operates in areas and situations where innovations means the difference between success and failure.

According to Dr. Bobby Savoie, Geocent’s President, “These awards embody the strategic vision of our company. Our team of professionals is committed to being on the cutting edge of innovation and technology. This recognition helps to validate the direction in which we’re headed, as well as the values and standards we hold dear. ”

He continues, “We’re proud to be based in the Greater New Orleans region, and we encourage other leading-edge companies that focus on innovation and technology-solution services to establish themselves here.”
