New Orleans – Tuesday May 12, 2009, 10:00 AM – Diamond Data Systems, LLC. Wins Information Technology (IT) and Engineering Support Contract for the Navy Warfare Development Command (NWDC)
Diamond Data Systems, LLC. (DDS) announced today that it has won a contract to provide IT technical and system administration skills to augment the support of 300 users working on classified and unclassified systems for NWDC. The scope of this contract includes help desk support, to include customer service, system administration and maintenance services. The work entails installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of NWDC network systems, computer systems, connectivity, hardware, phone systems and the local area network (LAN). The work also includes the design for connectivity regarding LANs and wide area networks (WANs) as well as Firewall and DMZ planning. DDS will assist users in the use and operation of the software on their platforms and troubleshoot any issues found. The company will assist in network migration planning and infrastructure build out for maintaining computer system operation during NWDC’s Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) transition to Norfolk, VA.
DDS will execute this project as a team with its subcontractor General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), a large business with extensive experience in supporting NWDC. GDIT’s Newport, RI personnel have been supporting the Navy in Newport for over 25 years and have been providing IT support to the Naval War College (NWC) and the NWDC for more than 12 years.
