Geocent has been awarded a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) on the Army Cloud Computing Enterprise Transformation (ACCENT) contract vehicle. ACCENT BOA is the Army’s preferred source for all Army commands and organizations requiring commercial cloud hosting, data center migration, transition support, and application modernization services.
According to the U.S. Army Enterprise Computing Operations Service Center, “ACCENT Basic Ordering Agreements (BOAs) allow capability owners to obtain commercial cloud services in any combination of service models, deployment models, and Cloud Impact Level as defined in the DoD Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide (SRG), along with the transition support and modernization services required to move a system/application to a cloud environment. Cloud solutions also include mobile capabilities to meet any urgent needs in contingency situations. ACCENT is available for use by all DoD organizations and is the preferred contract vehicle to obtain commercial cloud hosting, transition support, and application modernization services.” More information can be found at https://ecosc.army.mil/ACCENT/
“Geocent is excited and honored to support the US Army via the ACCENT vehicle, as we have extensive experience modernizing and transitioning legacy systems and applications from Navy Datacenters to commercial cloud providers,” said Ridge Bourgeois Geocent’ s Senior Vice President of Mission Solution Services Business Unit. “We will leverage our cloud capabilities to create innovative mission-oriented solutions for the US Army, as we have done in support of the Naval Information Warfare Center, US Navy, and US Marine Corps (USMC).”
This contract is a three-year Basic Ordering Contract with a total value of nearly $247 million.
