Mr. Wayne “Ridge” Bourgeois, was recently promoted to Geocent’s Senior Vice President of Geocent’s Mission Solutions & Services Business Unit (MSS). Mr. Bourgeois is based out of Geocent Headquarters located in Metairie, Louisiana.
Prior to this promotion, Mr. Bourgeois served as Vice President of Enterprise Technology Solutions (ETS) which was Geocent’s largest business unit at the time. Mr. Bourgeois was able to use his expertise as a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) for the past 12 years to lead a specialized team of software engineers and other IT specialists. Mr. Bourgeois’ ability to effectively and efficiently manage multiple projects and lead project managers across a variety of Geocent locations, as well as off-site locations, has been a tremendous asset to Geocent. Whether it be through technical expertise or his ability to connect with Geocent employees, Mr. Bourgeois contributions to Geocent are in integral component to the success of the company.
The MSS Business Unit is centered on the delivery of services and exceptional execution of programs for Geocent customers, broken out by “capability-based” Portfolios that align with Geocent’s existing capabilities, technology focus areas and Centers of Excellence (COE). Mr. Bourgeois will be managing projects across the Geocent enterprise and leading MSS employee to further success.

Mr. Bourgeois is a Louisiana State University graduate with a degree in information systems and decision sciences. He earned his MBA from the University of New Orleans. He dove directly into his first position where he provided program support to Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWAR) – New Orleans contractors. Soon after he was recruited by QinetiQ North America where he served as a program manager from 2001 to 2010. There he learned and mastered every aspect of the business from business development, operations, execution, product delivery, and support. Mr. Bourgeois specializes program management; development of software and systems for the military command and control; emergency management/chemical biological radiological and nuclear; geospatial; maritime domain awareness; defense support of civilian authorities; and Navy emergency preparedness liaison domains. He has been and continues to be a major contributor to Geocent’s success.
Mr. Bourgeois served as the president of the Gulf Coast Government Contractors Association from July 2010 to June 2012. He is currently on the board for the local Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) chapter. He and his wife, Gretchen, live in Mandeville, LA, where in his spare time, he enjoys volunteering as a soccer, basketball, baseball, and football coach with local youth clubs, which gives him the opportunity to coach his three sons Gavin, Cade, and Hudson.
